Stubborn Curls and Frizz…GONE!

There are two types of people in the world, those with straight hair and those who wish they had straight hair. I fall into the second category. I’ve always had extremely curly hair, and I spent half of my life doing all I could to get it straight. I remember being 14 and sitting for 2 ½ hours while my mom tried to blow dry my hair straight, yes 2 ½ hours! Only to have it curl up again the next day with the slightest bit of humidity. I got my hair chemically straightened four times and never saw any results. I thought I was doomed to spend the rest of my life with non-luscious locks, always envying those girls who could let their hair air dry and still have it look perfect. I know that a lot of girls felt the same way I did hopeless and about to give up. If you are one of these girls then you are in luck. After years of looking for a product that could get my hair straight I finally found one.
Bio Ionics is a revolutionary hair straightening system. It uses negative ion energy to “break water molecule clusters into micro-fine particles and penetrate the hair shaft (Bio Ionics).” It conditions your hair, leaving it shiny and smooth, unlike other chemical straightening systems that can damage or dry your hair out. The Straightening Process:
The entire procedure will take between 3 and 5 hours. First your hair will be washed with the Bio Ionics shampoo and conditioner. Then the stylist will apply the first formula to your hair. This is kept on anywhere from 10 minutes to 30 minutes, depending on the condition of your hair. This is then rinsed off and your hair is blown dry with a Bio Ionics blow dryer and then straightened with a Bio Ionics straightening iron. A naturalizer is then applied to your hair and is kept on for 10 minutes. This is then rinsed out and your hair is blown straight and ironed again.
I have had this process done four times now, and each time the results have improved; my hair gets straighter every time I get it done. Even though my hair is still not perfectly straight, the frizz is completely gone and my curls are manageable. It reduced my blow drying time to 40 minutes…a big difference from the 2 ½ hours it used to take. I would recommend that anyone with stubborn curls who wants straight hair get it done, but there are a few drawbacks:
•The process is pricy: It can cost anywhere from $300 to $700 to get this procedure done, depending on how curly and thick your hair is.
•It takes a lot of time: You better have a lot of time and patience if you want to get this procedure done. It takes around six hours to complete.
•Stylists must be trained: Not a lot of salons offer the process. Stylists must take a class and get certified in order to use the product.
•Bio Ionic Products add to the price: You will have to buy a Bio Ionics hair dryer and brushes if you get your hair straightened. The dryers cost anywhere from $180-$250, brushes are priced between $20 and $45.
•You better be sure you want straight hair: If you think you will miss your curls then this is not the thing for you. My hair didn’t take to it 100% at first, but I have seen a lot of people get it done and their curl is completely gone. I remember when I saw a demonstration of this procedure at a hair show and one of the models was crying afterwards because her hair was stick straight.
There are perks as well:
•The blow dryer, although pricy, is amazing! Instead of taking moisture out, it puts it in. This prevents the horrible effects of humidity from taking place, and it also leaves your hair conditioned and smooth. Anyone that has tried my dryer has fallen in love with it and asks to use it over and over again.
•Your hair will stay straight until it grows out. They suggest you get the procedure done every 5-6 months. The price of the procedure is much less the second time you get it done because you are only getting the re-growth done. You will also be done in half the time because the product is only applied to the re-growth area.
•This product can be used on all hair types, including colored, ethnic, and bleached hair, unlike many other chemical straightening products on the market.
So stop envying those girls with straight hair, stop taking the time to control your curls and frizz and get your hair straightened with Bio Ionics!
