description:
The University of Delaware’s chapter is proud to announce that they will be performing their 8th annual benefit performance of the Vagina Monologues. Students and Faculty come together for this special event to raise both awareness and money for the fight against sex crimes and domestic violence. Produced and directed by members of the VDay Exec Board, the show promises to be filled with lots of laughs, lots of lessons and lots life changing stories. All proceeds will go towards the Forensic Nurse Examiners program (formally known as the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Program) at the Christiana Care Hospital in Newark Delaware. Lead by Anita Symonds RN, the FNEP provides services to, but is not limited to, survivors of Rape, Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence. VDay wishes to recognize their efforts as invaluable resources to University Community.

The show will run from Thursday, March 15th through Saturday, March 17th at the University of Delaware’s Mitchell Hall. Tickets go on sale at All UD Box offices and Ticketmaster.com on Wednesday February 14th, 2007. Tickets for students are $7 in advance and $10 at the door; For Faculty and the General Public, $12 in advance and $15 at the door.
